Please note:  Once an event has been scheduled, it will be posted on this page. 

If you do NOT see your event listed, please contact ReFoamIt ASAP.  No event will be scheduled with just a phone call!  Once you know what date you are interested in, please contact us as soon as possible BEFORE you begin to advertise!!!!

The events listed below are hosted by organizations or municipalities for residents and small businesses. If you have a large amount of foam please call ReFoamIt 508-872-2323 or 508-864-8723 to discuss your recycling options.  We now have our own facility and anyone is welcome to bring their foam to 25 Mohawk Dr., (Entrance is located just before loading dock door B), Leominster, MA.  There is no charge to drop off your foam, but we ask that you make an appointment by calling 508-864-8723!  When our machinery is running, we may not be able to hear the phone so please call back.  You can also enter our building through All American Recycling. 

Exciting news!  ReFoamIt now accepts #4 (LDPE) and #5 PolyPro foam along with #6 EPS foam, more commonly called Styrofoam® at most of our events.  Packing peanuts and bubble wrap will be collected unless stated in the description below.

Foam items do not need to display the recycling symbol!

2015 Events

Apr 25 Malden DPW, Malden, MA Open to Malden Residents Only
The Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a recycling day for a variety of items including tires, televisions, computer monitors and car batteries. Residents of Malden will be able to bring recyclable items to the DPW, 356 Commercial Street from 9AM-2PM.  Paint and Styrofoam may be dropped off from 9AM to 1PM and paper shredding will be recycled from 9AM-12PM. Latex, oil and acrylic paints as well as stains and varnishes will also be accepted.  However, antifreeze, household hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals or other hazardous materials will not be accepted. Apr 25 Grace Church, Framingham, MA No Residency Requirement
As part of the Framingham Earth Day Festival, Grace Church will again host a foam recycling event.  Please bring your foam, and packing peanuts to 76 Salem End Road from 10-2.  This is one of our busiest foam recycling events all year, so please help us be removing all tape, labels, and cardboard from all of your items and remember to clean your post-consumer food items.  We will also accept any food donations for the food pantry.  Please do not bring any expired items. Lots of activities will take place in Framigham today.

Apr 25, Framingham Earth Day Festival, Framingham, MA, Everyone is Welcome
This is the Fifth Anniversary for the Festival.  We will have many vendors, music, food, recycling events and workshops from 11:00 to 3:00 at the Framingham Center Common on Edgell Road.  Foam, packing peanuts, electronics, textiles, mercury items, bikes, crayons, eyeglasses, cell phones, printer cartridges, pens (any kind)  batteries and tennis balls may be recycled at or near to the commonFor more information about the festival and all of the recycling opportunities, visit http://www.framinghamearthday.org

May 2, Recycling Shrewsbury, Shrewsbury, MA Open to Everyone
The Electronics, foam, and textile recycling event will be held from 9-12 at the Oak Middle School, 45 Oak St. in Shrewsbury. Enter from Oak Street.   This is a fundraiser for the Sherwood and Oak Middle School PTO.  Fees for electronics start at $5.00.  For more details, see http://www.shrewsbury-ma.gov/egov/docs/1428927590_582000.pdf

May 2, Town of Dedham's Sustainability Committee, & Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club, Dedham, MA No Residency Requirement
Residents and nonresidents may bring foam, packing peanuts, bubble wrap, electronics, documents (for on-site shredding), clothes, stuffed animals, and scrap metal to the Dedham Middle School Parking lot, 70 Whiting Ave. from 8-12  This event is free for residents and non-residents will be charged $10/carload.  Some electronic items will have a separate fee which will supports the Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club's initiatives. May 2, Beverly Solid Waste Management Committee, Beverly, MA
The electronics and foam recycling event will be held from 8:00 to noon at the REAR of the Beverly High School, 100 Sohier Road.  The foam will be at no charge, but there will be a fee to recycle your electronics including appliances.

May 2, Andover Zero Waste Day, Andover, MA Everyone Is Welcome
This event runs from 9-1 and will be located in the Brickstone Square lower parking lot:  entrance at York Street/Rte 133-Haverhill St in Andover.  http://andoverma.gov/dpw/zerowasteday.pdf  This is a huge recycling opportunity!

May 2, Upton DPW, Upton, MA Upton Residents Only

Bring your recyclables to the Belmont Town Yard 37 C Street from 9:00 am – 1:0pm

May 16, Lifoam Industries, Peabody, MA, No Residency Requirement
Lifoam is hosting a foam recycling event from 9-1.  Bring your clean foam to 2 Fifth Street, Peabody, MA. Please do not ask to drop items off ahead of the event or send foam through the mail.  Most of the time, our collection vehicle is filled to capacity, so please understand if we are unable to accept you packing peanuts.

May 16, Ipswich, MA, Open to Ipswich Residents Only
Ipswich Recycling is hosting a foam recycling event from 9am- Noon at the Ipswich Middle School parking lot (130 High St.) rain or shine.  Free Styrofoam collection and Electronic Recycling is available for a fee.

May 16, Northboro Junior Woman's Club, Northborough, MA No Residency Restriction New location
This event will take place at the Northborough Middle School.  More details will be posted later.

May 16, Leominster DPW, Leominster, MA
The DPW is hosting a foam recycling event as part of their spring recycling event. This event runs from 9-1 at the DPW Garage 109 Graham Street.  There will be many items that can be recycled at this event including tires, electronics, used motor oil and oil based paints, paper shredding, unused cell phones, sharps, books, rigid plastics, metal items, eyeglasses, hearing aids, etc.  I may have missed something so check out their flyer for all of the details or call the Leominster Board of Health at 978-534-7533. May 30, Bedford Public Works, Bedford, MA, Bedford Residents Only

May 30, Medfield, MA, Medfield Residents Only
Bring all of the foam that you have saved since our last event in Jan. 2015 to the transfer station from 9-1.  Volunteers will be present to help you unload your vehicle.  Remember to bag your packing peanuts separately from the rest of your foam.

June 3, Potter Road Elementary School, Framingham, MA Open to Everyone New Date
Come check out the Potter Road Elementary School's Environment Fair from 6-8 PM.  This is our only evening event scheduled (so far) this year.  ReFoamIt will be present to collect all of your foam, packing peanuts and bubble wrap.
